The Indian Blanket Jasper is really an ash flow. Sometimes it looks like a chert, sometimes an agate, and sometimes an opalite. Most of it cuts and polishes well and it has become popular with local jewelry artists. Because of the extensive volcanic in the area, this material is not limited to one place. It is found in Hold Canyon just outside of Enterprise and in the desert east of Marysvale Utah.

This rare jasper is only found in Utah.
